How late does USPS tend to deliver? It's 5:20pm local time and I have a package that was slated to arrive today and the tracker still says that the estimated date is still today.
NSX for your troubles.

Are you in Puerto Rico? It's 4:24 Eastern. 1 hour earlier would be somewhere in the Atlantic ocean.
I think that NSX might just be perfect.

I guess it can vary, I've gotten packages as late as 8:30pm from USPS

Weather is of course always a factor, but I have received packages from UPS (not usps) at about 630 before, once. If you haven't received it by now you probably wont, but use your tracking info to see if it is at a local post office and if it is still open see if you can get it yourself.

I've had packages delivered slightly before midnight, so who knows.

Yeah, I've been hearing from people I know that they've been getting deliveries late but I wasn't sure if that was the norm.

The tracking info said that it was processed at a local facility at 5:45am and that it was out for delivery.

That must've been weird lol.

I've heard of UPS drivers being out as late as 11 (I work for UPS), but only due to weather being bad the days leading up to, and it being peak season (days leading up to Xmas). If weather is bad and will continue to be bad, they'll get curfew's so they can have hours left for the rest of the week. All depends how close they are to the amount of hours their allowed in a week, witch I want to say is 60 but I'm not sure.. I think it is though, lol

Ahh, if it is out for delivery then unless there was some sort of accident with the truck then you will probably get it today then. From what I understand with those mail trucks is that their shift doesn't end until all packages are delivered

Holiday season. At least it isn't Lazership, showing up in a beat up old Ford Aerostar, in the nightly hours, several weeks after the expected delivery date.

Yes, lived here for the last six years. NSX would make for a speedy delivery vehicle, although the post office's tire budget would go up significantly lol.

Holy hell that's late. But believe able for christmas time. I have heard that whatever they have in their truck if there isn't adverse weather they cannot finish work until all packages are delivered. Is that true?

Weeks? Did you report it? That must've have been hilarious.

Yeah I tried to call them, but their customer service is complete shit. At first I forgot what I ordered, and why the hell somebody in a beat up old minivan was at my door, and then I remembered "I bought a watch last month, didn't I???"

Err, depends, If they're close to going over hours they probably wont deliver it all, not sure though, even if the weathers not bad I know, if a certain road is too bad, they can completely skip the road. Example - When I was helping this year, it'd be a few days after a snow storm and the drivers I'd be helping would just put down entire roads as "emergency conditions" b/c they could tell if they attempted to drive on said roads, they'd get stuck. I'm sure their are plenty of exceptions like that.

I see a van like that at such a late hour and I'd assume some sinister shenanigans are underway.

Yeah, just in case, I had some old ass Webley revolver, that hasn't worked since the 90's laying around

Traffic around here can get pretty heavy so I'm guessing that's why.

That's some pretty Indiana Jones stuff.

Haha, If I had my whip, I assure you I would have had it nearby also.

Ahh alright. Makes sense, even with these storms ups has been really awesome with delivering stuff.

Yeah, the trucks are pretty good in snow, however they can of course still get stuck if the snows deep enough or if their is enough ice built up. I'm sure a lot of drivers will be more willing to deliver to more heavily snowy roads earlier in their work shifts then later. It gets pretty noticeable in snow how much weight the trucks are loosing as packages come off of them; in the morning when they are still heavy, snow is easier, then in the afternoon when they're half empty and weigh far less the trucks will slide around more.

Yeah, makes sense. I live in northern va, and i have been amazed that usps and ups still managed to deliver things pretty much on time. The worst I had was 1 business day late, and that was just a video game. Are these guys made to go as fast as they possibly can?

I'm in Colorado :) And yeah, we do pretty good of being on time, haha, and pretty much. Younger guys especially, it depends the driver though, and how well they get along with management. Most don't have to move too fast to be fast, they're just efficient in a lot of cases. I see it as 2 different methods for being fast as a UPS deliverer - method one is find the package, and move fast, method two is, organize your truck so you can find things instantly, then move at a decent pace. Older drivers will move slower, and since they'll usually have seniority, they'll try to get easier/lighter routes. Some of them are just crazy though, lol

Ahh okay. Cause I have just always wondered, since they have so many packages and I ALWAYS get my packages on time, whether I've ordered from amazon or rockauto

Alright, also when it is super heavy (like peak season as mentioned previously) they'll ask the people who load the trucks, unload the semi's, sort box's etc, if they want to help, witch means put on a uniform, ride shotgun and run packages. Can double up on deliveries then, and one person drive, the other just run, so it helps things move quicker
